I'm imagining the music in the speakeasy as sounding something like this. What do you think?

That sound perfect! Just the right vibe for the situation (also you seem to be quite savvy with the 1920's music scene).

Also, sorry for the delay, I was in the lab for most of the day and didn't get to writing until this evening. Warren is quite the chatterbox if you get him on the right subject apparently.

Aww, don't worry about the delay! Real life comes first.

Speaking of which, I'll be away from my main PC until at least Saturday, so my posts may be a bit sporadic (read: non-existent). Sorry about the late heads-up.

All good, I have some packing to do in the next couple days, so I'll be pretty busy myself.

Good to know my timing wasn't terrible! And here's what I'm thinking for that slow foxtrot.

And (belated) thanks for that complement! I like to think of myself as something of an amateur historian, so collecting music from the 20's is somewhat personal for me.

Yeah no problem.

As a note, I'm hoping my conversation is scientifically accurate. Some facts on when particular chemicals were discovered is pretty challenging to find. If you see anything out of place, feel free to mention it and I'll try modify as needed.

Coincidentally, I ran into the exact same problem! I thought about referencing hormones, but decided against it due to lack of historical reference material. Don't worry about it, though; I don't think it's worth fretting over.

Also, just to clarify: I used "human" in this last post to the RP. That might be a bit confusing, considering that we're using "cats" here, so surprise explanation zeit!

  • Basically, in all my posts, "human" can mean either primate-based human (what we are IRL) or feline-based human (the inhabitants of the Lackadaisy universe). Which one just depends on the context clues (presence/absence of tails, fur, etc.)

So in case you were wondering, this RP is still very much feline-centered. Of course, if you prefer one to the other, just let me know!

Hope this wasn't too confusing.

Ok cool. If I find any good scientific history references I'll keep you updated anyhow.

Also I figured that we were playing as our felinoid versions of our characters when you mentioned the tail swishing at the beginning of the RP. I'm completely cool with that, though I'm not super savvy with the feline nuances, but I will try.

And no, it was perfectly understandable c:

/Endrant

Sorry for the heaping posts. I hope I'm giving you enough to work with, I think I am, but I'm not exactly sure. I'll try keep further messages a little shorter than that one.

Oh, don't worry about it at all; you're giving me quite enough to work with! I was worried that my posts weren't long enough, actually!

Oh god, apparently I was in the mood for another rant. Sorry there.

And yes, you definitely have been giving me enough to work with (as evidenced by that last post). Good stuff so far, this has been fun!

No worries! Mine turned out quite a bit longer than I had expected as well.

And yeah, this has been very fun! It's a pleasure to write with you, and I'm so glad we could make this work!

I'm sorry about that period of absence. Real life can get in the way sometimes, unfortunately.

Also, I hope you don't mind that I went ahead and mentioned a song directly in a post. It just seemed to fit here for some reason (probably because I'm sort of stuck on that particular song for now, lol).

All good. I've been pretty busy with assorted life things too. My creative resources are a little strained right now, since I've also running an tabletop RP with a large group of friends recently, so sorry for the shorter post. If you have a particular direction you want things to proceed feel free to try move the story in that direction (or if you have any ideas you're unsure of feel free to discuss).

That song is great! I've been listening to it and its related tunes since then.

Also: How about that new Lackadaisy page? Stellar, right?

Hey! So I have some reprieve now from university. Are you up for a little RP? We could proceed to a new scene if you like. Should we plan a little here?
