You know, I don't dislike people over it. But some people actually think I'm mad cause I don't fear the ocean.
I love it actually. I like to dive and go trench fishing and so on.
I get some people are scared of the open ocean. Why is it weird not to be?

I can't swim, so I can relate to people who don't like open bodies of water. I'm pretty sure if I ever come in contact with the ocean, I'll dissolve into hot chocolate.

I don't mind the ocean, with the exception of all the germs.

I actually learned lockpicking in the ocean. My elder brother (I'm youngest of six), chained my stupid ass to a brick trying to kill me. He did give me a hairpin first though. Said if I got up he'd like me. So I wiggled out of my chains and worked open my locks with it and swam up.
He was actually kind of pissed off.
That's something I actually did. I'm aware it sounds weird.

I have zero fear of open water. But a huge fear of suffocating via water...

And my brother still hates me.

I find swimming to be an amazing experience, both bodily and spiritually. If I was able to, I'd swim every single day.

On the other hand, the sea is full of some strange, interesting, eldtrich, appaling and disgusting creatures, like this, this and these. I remember a time when an indescribable annelid-like creature suddenly went out of the sand and gnawed (or something similar) my hand. One of the reasons I visit a doctor.

Nothing to worry about from big scary things. They just make for a greater experience.

Given I'm tiny and Irish, doubtful.

Teach me to pick locks? That would come in so handy for escaping.

Not really as scared of the water as much as traveling across it. Even though I used to swim for sport, i was in shock during a boat ride around a lake. I can't stand a vehicle tilting more than 25 degrees other than a roller coaster.
