I was wondering, are any of the characters (besides the obvious ones -Wick, Rocky, etc) modeled after actual breeds?

Sorry if this question has been asked a squillion times, but I was flipping through my Cat Breed Book today and thinking things like "Hey! That Korat looks like Ivy!".... plus, I have no shame.

Most of them are based on actual cats I've had or known or who currently reside with me...most of which were either rescued strays or adopted from shelters. 'Domestic shorthairs' for the most part; the feline equivalent of the mutt...so there aren't many pedigrees to be found among them. ;)

-Ivy's a chirpy, petite black cat with wide, moony eyes too big for her head - she was adopted from an animal sanctuary.

-Calvin's a Jekyl and Hyde case in the form of a little orange tabby, of course - a shelter rescue.

-Rocky was a very gregarious rover/barn cat who charmed his way into the family. What he is in terms of breed is a little harder to put a finger on, though. He looks like a lynx point siamese, but may also just be a siamese-mix.

-Viktor's modeled after a one-eyed ruddy longhair an aunt of mine had when I was a kid. He was big and may have been a maine coon, but I can't be certain. The character's got a lot of bobcat-like features mixed into his design, though, to set him apart a bit in terms of girth.

Aaah, I see. Leave it to me to be an over analyzing weirdo.

Ivy sounds like my own talkative black kitty, Mischa. We found her at a shelter in El Paso.

Hold the phone.
You said lackadaisy characters are based off of cats with which you've had ... call them "relationships." Does this include their names? Well, obviously, your cats aren't Calvin McMurray or Roark Rickaby... You know what I mean, right?

Some of the names are the same, some were changed. All of the surnames were added for the purposes of the comic, of course.
