The dirt was a scorched mess of tangled weeds, rotten sod and dried up dreams. Inbetween bone-thin trees laid crumbling brick, mourning the passage of time as it hung; a fiery forgotten boiler, stuffed with enough coal to outlast new life in the West.

The land was dead. Only fighters could survive.
