I haven't seen a great deal of fan fiction posted here (please correct me if it's misplaced!) and so can't help but feel I'm sticking my neck out. However, I really did want to share it: that, and I about gave myself carpal tunnel working on this sucker.

(Linked out because of the absurd length.)

Title: Perennial
Rating: T
Word Count: 20,661
Genre: Friendship/General/Historical Whatnot
Characters: Ivy, Viktor, and many other guest appearances.
Summary: Her godfather's employee can throw all the silent death threats he wants: Ivy Pepper does not plan to be deterred. (Or, the hypothetical history of a very odd friendship.)
Notes: This fan fiction is broken up into segments by year, 1921-1927, so hopefully that makes its length somewhat more manageable...For which I sort-of apologize. Ivy's narrative voice is absurdly fun to write. It also contains information and spoilers up through the current comic pages, along with some facts gleaned from supplementary strips/material. Any comment, suggestion or critique you might have is very appreciated.
(I'm also aware that this shares its title with Tracy's beautiful portrait of Ivy, but the name was too fitting to discard.)
Disclaimer: Lackadaisy and its characters are the property of Tracy J. Butler. Thank goodness.

I'll bet you glared too hard one day and had that eye just go popping out like a cork, right?

Thanks to anyone who reads!

I'm rather at a loss for much to say except wow..you're good.
It's an honor to see your hard work and talent applied to some of my characters, but mostly I'm just bowled over by how well done this is. Thanks for sharing it here.

HAAAH.

*flails wildly*

Thank you very, very, very much. And after seeing how much effort and loving detail you put into your work, I had to at least try in response. XD

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

Oh man, I happened to drop by the writing section and starting browsing through this on a whim. Needless to say, I ended up getting shamefully absorbed and stayed up past my bedtime to read the whole thing. It is, to say the least, amazing, and not just because of the obvious dedication it takes to put 20,000+ words into a piece like this. I did not think I could adore Viktor any more than I already do, but clearly I was mistaken.

This was an amazing read! I kept on reading it, even after it started to get dark. I finished it and looked up from my screen, and my room was pitch black! XD

This was so well thought out and wonderfully written, that I consider everything you wrote canon unless Miss Tracy says otherwise.
