This is a forum topic for all of you wonderful Lackadaisy cats to vent about your best -- or worst! -- FMLs! And for those of you who don't know what FML is: http://www.internetslang.com/FML-meaning-definition.asp

For example, I have three:

1)Yesterday, I was getting out of the shower and getting dressed, when I realized that I had forgotten a shirt. Feeling fairly comfortable in my bra, and thinking that my siblings (whom I was babysitting at the time) were downstairs, I walked out in my bra and my jeans to the laundry room next to the bathroom. What I didn't realize, however, was that my brother had a friend over and they were playing XBox in the recreation room down the hall. With the door open. So, as I'm standing there in shock, my brother's eight-year-old friend turns to him and says: "your sister has nice tits." FML.

2) I regularly sing songs in different languages as I'm working around the house and on the farm, and the French folk song Au Claire de la Lune ("In the Light of the Moon) is one of my favorites. The first verse goes as such: Au claire de la lune, mon ami Pierrot.I had gotten tongue-tied thinking of other things, and ended up singing "au claire de la lune, mon ami pee twat." My 56-year-old godfather heard me. FML.

3) As stated above, I like to sing French nusery-rhymes. Le Pont D'Avignon ("The Bridge in Avignon") is another favorite of mine. So, while I was singing quite loudly with my friend in the park, and I somehow managed to mess up et puis encore comme ca and say "et puis encore circumcision." The Rabbi sitting on the bench next to us heard me. FML.

Tell me your FMLs! Let the other patrons of this fine forum laugh at your pain! And hopefully you can laugh too!

Lol, I think the moral of this story is that you should avoid singing in French around older male authority-type figures.

I'd mess up the lyrics on purpose.

And then the Rabbi came up to me and asked me if I wanted to meet his son. .___. I said no.

?

Strange thing to hear from a rabbi...

In case you meet again, you can always tell him he's a wicked old meschugener deep in chutzpah. After than, greet him shalom alechem and leave.

It's the male counterpart, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, you don't want to know what kind of language I'd actually use...

Just remembered this, it's not funny but it definitely made me curse afterwards.

I was once asked to read certain passages from the bible during a visit of the local clergymen to our school. Now, there's a catch: all orthodox sacred texts in Greece are written in classical Greek, very much like all catholic sacred texts are written in Latin. Anyway, I delivered the passages without any errors in pronounciation, at least to my knowledge, trying to read as "naturally" as I could.

When the ceremony ended, the vicar approached me and told me my reading flow was very good.
He then asked me "Which school subjects are you mostly interested in?"
I replied "Mathematics."
I swear it, every angle of his face was suddenly reversed.
"Mathematics? To provide food for your body? But what about the spirit? Aren't you interested in religion?"
"I don't consider religion a school subject."
"Hear me, boy, for many have fallen before the works of the devil. I studied math when I was your age and I can tell you that anyone associated with it fell into the cauldron of hell afterwards. It's pure madness."
I almost lost it there.
"I guess I prefer insanity, if that's the case."
"You choose, then, to remove yourself from the lord's arms and follow satan?"
"I'm not sure I follow your interpretation."

What happened afterwards is way too silly to post.

The most potent FML I've had lately was the time my girlfriend used my drink as a chaser. My ego has since recovered, but I mean.... dang.
